Tommy C. Chappell Scholarship Awards
In keeping with our mission statement and the corporation’s hope to help community members reach their full potential, we offer annual Tommy C. Chappell Scholarship Awards for students in the community hoping to continue their education after high school.
Scholarships are available to students enrolled in college and open for application during the second semester of the school year. Award winners are selected and notified by June.
There are four scholarship categories: academic achievement, art/atheletic talent, community/volunteer service, and religious studies.In addition to the application form, an essay, letter of recommendation, community service form, and transcript are are required to be submitted with each application. Following the review of applications, interviews will also be required of applicants.
Scholarships are available to students in any year of undergraduate studies.
It is our hope at New Rising Star that by providing these scholarships to community members, education becomes easier to obtain and is thought of as important. We believe that education is a great step toward personal greatness.
