House Fix
House Fix supports neighborhood revitalization and affordable housing by providing information to residents concerning home repair and weatherization grants. These grants may be from any of the following sources: city, state, federal, business or other non-profit organizations.House Fix is an annual event that typically occurs between
the months of November and December and was designed to help the community achieve housing targets.
Housing targets are achieved when:
Vacant housing is significantly reduced or eliminated
Residents live in owner-occupied, single family affordable housing for families whose incomes are below the median household income for Jefferson County
All targeted homeowners are educated with home maintenance and financial education programs.
House Fix is not a year-round program, so please continue to check in with New Rising Star for updates and information regarding the start of the program.
