Housing Programs
New Rising Star’s goal is to enhance the quality of life in our community. Accordingly, the corporation strives to positively impact the quality of life through issues identified by our community. In keeping with our mission statement and the corporation’s hope to help community members reach their full potential, we offer two housing supportive services.
Housing targets are achieved when:
- Vacant housing is significantly reduced or eliminated
- Residents live in owner-occupied, single family affordable housing for families whose incomes are below the median household income for Jefferson County
- All targeted homeowners are educated with home maintenance and financial education programs.
Currently, New Rising Star’s methods in achieving these targets are carried out through the programs House Fix and House Build.
These annual programs are not year-round, so please continue to check in with New Rising Star for updates and information regarding the start of our housing supportive services.
