Who We Are
New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church Community Support Corporation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Birmingham, AL. We have been proudly serving the East Lake community of Birmingham with a variety of supportive services since 2005.
It is the mission of this corporation to show love to our neighbors by enhancing the quality of life in three Birmingham, Alabama, East Lake Community neighborhoods–Brown Springs, East Lake and Gate City–by developing a community of choice through excellence in education, affordable housing and other supportive services.
What We Do
In order to fulfill our mission within the East Lake Community, we have created a number of programs and services to revitalize the community and help the community members. These programs include an educational enrichment program that provides K – 9 children with homework assistance, physical activity, and nutrition; affordable housing programs to build new homes and teach community members about weatherizing their homes; and a transportation program to assist senior citizens in the community fulfill their non-emergency needs.
