New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church Community Support Corporation | Site Feedback | © Copyright
It is the mission of this corporation to show love for our neighbors by enhancing the quality of life in the East Lake community of Birmingham, Alabama.
Our vision is to develop a community of choice through excellence in education and affordable housing in three Birmingham, Alabama, East Lake Community neighborhoods: East Lake, Brown Springs and Gate City.
Housing targets are achieved when:
Vacant housing is significantly reduced or eliminated. Residents live in owner-occupied, single-family affordable housing for families whose incomes are below the median household income for the County of Jefferson, the State of Alabama.
All targeted homeowners are educated with home maintenance and income management skills.
Pastor Chappell observed the conditions of the Eastlake Community. He read the newspapers account of the economy, education, crime and overall problems affecting the quality of life. He was moved to make life better for the people in this area. Hence the birth of the New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church Community Support Corporation (CSC).
The Corporation was filed with the Judge of Probate of Jefferson County on the 11th day of October 2005. NRSMBC CSC received its IRS Letter of Determination on April 23, 2007.
